In order to carry out a selective extraction of cations (Mn+) by an electrochemical transfer in a solution from a first electrolyte (E1) to a second electrolyte (E2), the method comprises using as an electrolyte separation wall a transfer wall (2) made of chalcogenide with molybdenum clusters(MonXn+2 or MxMonXn+2), and ensuring the cation transfer through said transfer wall by generating a potential difference (?E) between the electrode Al in the first electrolyte (E1) and the electrode C2 in the second electrolyte (E2) or said transfer wall (2) in order to induce an interleaving of the cations in the transfer wall on the side of the first electrolyte, a scattering of the cations therein, and the de-interleaving thereof in the second electrolyte.
Pour effectuer une extraction sélective de cations (M"+) par transfert électrochimique en solution d'un premier électrolyte (E1) à un second électrolyte (E2), on utilise comme paroi de séparation des électrolytes une paroi de transfert (2) formée de chalcogénure à cluster de molybdène (Mo n X n+2 ou M x Mo n X n+2), et on assure un transfert des cations à travers la dite paroi de transfert en générant une différence de potentiel (.DELTA.E) entre l'électrode A1 dans le premier électrolyte (E1), et d'autre part l'électrode C2 dans le deuxième électrolyte (E2) ou la dite paroi de transfert (2), de manière à provoquer une intercalation des cations dans la paroi de transfert du côté du premier électrolyte, une diffusion des cations, dans celle-ci, puis leur désintercalation dans le deuxième électrolyte.
