Method and device for moving subsea rocks and sediments, also at significant depths, e.g. in connection with removal of protective rocks around subsea installations, where maintenance is to be conducted. The device comprises a rigid or at least partly flexible tubing (5) thorough which the masses (14) may be transported with the aid of a pressure gradient produced by an ejector nozzle (11) arranged externally in relation to said tubing. The nozzle (11) is fed with water from a water pump (12). The device further comprises a chassis (F) adapted to be transported along the (sea) bottom. The required power is arranged to be supplied through a cable (3) from the surface, while the tubing (5) preferably is arranged to be remotely controlled by a manipulator (9, 9").

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de déplacer des sédiments et des roches sous-marins à des profondeurs élevées, par exemple, en relation avec le retrait de roches protectrices entourant des installations sous-marines, là où la maintenance doit être réalisée. L'appareil comporte une tuyauterie (5) rigide ou au moins partiellement souple par laquelle les masses (14) peuvent être transportées à l'aide d'un gradient hydraulique produit par un éjecteur (11) connecté extérieurement avec ladite tuyauterie. L'éjecteur (11) est alimenté en eau au moyen d'une pompe hydraulique (12). L'appareil comprend également un châssis (F) adapté pour être transporté le long du fond sous-marin. L'énergie requise est acheminée par un câble (3) provenant de la surface, tandis que la tuyauterie (5) sera de préférence contrôlée à distance par un manipulateur (9, 9').
