In a method for the continuous casting of preliminary steel sections, in particular preliminary double-T sections, the liquid steel is introduced substantially vertically into an open-ended die (1). The cross section of the cavity of this open-ended die (1) is made up of two flange parts (2, 3) and a web part (4). The liquid core of the strand of the preliminary section is set in agitating motions transversely to the direction of continuous casting by using electromagnetically induced forces in the region of the flange parts (2, 3) and/or of the web part (4). The agitating motions have the effect of exchanging the liquid steel in the molten crater of the strand of the preliminary section between the flange parts (2, 3) and the web part (4). This allows the flow and temperature conditions in the liquid steel crater within the strand shell of the preliminary section to be actively influenced in a targeted manner and stabilization of the region of the surface of the liquid metal to be brought about, along with favourable and controllable flow conditions.
Dans le procédé de coulée continue de pré-profilés en acier, et en particulier de pré-profilés en double T, selon l'invention, l'acier liquide est envoyé dans une lingotière continue (1) sensiblement verticale. La section transversale de l'espace creux de moulage de cette lingotière continue (1) est constituée de l'assemblage de deux parties de bride (2, 3) et d'une partie d'âme (4). L'âme liquide de la barre pré-profilée est brassée transversalement par rapport à la direction de coulée de la barre, en recourant à des forces électromagnétiques induites, dans la zone des parties de bride (2, 3) et/ou de la partie d'âme (4). Les déplacements de brassage déplacent l'acier liquide présent dans le pied de la barre pré-profilée entre les parties de bride (2, 3) et la partie d'âme (4). Ainsi, on peut agir activement et de manière contrôlée sur les conditions d'écoulement et de température du pied d'acier liquide à l'intérieur de la coquille de la barre pré-profilée, ce qui permet de stabiliser la zone du niveau de coulée et d'obtenir des conditions d'écoulement favorables et de plus contrôlables.
