ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus for electrochemically detecting and measuring hydrazine vapors. The apparatus contains an electro- chemical cell which exhibits high sensitivity, selectivity and reproducibility in detecting ion concentrations of hydrazines in other vapors. The cell includes an aqueous alkaline electrolyte, a sensing diffusion electrode to which a fixed potential is applied and a three electrode system. The gas to be sampled for hydrazine is drawn over inert material through the electrochemical cell.
