The process is used for the flotation of contaminants out of an aqueous fibrous suspension (S) and is used especially in the processing of printed and otherwise contaminated used paper. According to the invention, the fibrous suspension (S) is introduced into the already-formed foam (2) and sinks in it down to a liquid layer (3) from which the accepted stock (S') is removed.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de séparer par flottation des substances polluantes contenues dans une suspension aqueuse de matières fibreuses (S), qui s'utilise notamment lors du traitement de vieux papiers de récupération imprimés ou souillés d'une manière ou d'une autre. Selon l'invention, la suspension de matières fibreuses (S) est introduite dans la mousse (2) déjà formée dans laquelle elle s'enfonce en une couche liquide (3) d'où est extraite la pâte à papier finie.
