ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a device for joining together pieces of wood, i.e. short board ends according to which method surfaces of the wood pieces are pressed together preferably without the use of any glue medium with the pieces subjected to a series of blows leading to the bonding of the wood fibres in the joint. The device is provided with hammering means working upon clamping means for the wood pieces, to produce vibratory impacts upon the area of the joint between the workpieces.
