A method and device for treating for instance a paper pulp suspension with at least one treatment fluid has a treatment chamber, in which a rotor (1) rotates and carries a number of rigidly interconnected coaxial rotor rings (23) at its periphery, a number of stationary stator rings (25) being coaxially inserted between the rotor rings, so that at least two annular axial treatment slots (27) are formed between the rotor rings and the stator rings. An inlet member (19) for the working medium and an inlet member (21) for the treatment fluid are arranged on one side of said treatment slots and an outlet for the treated working medium on the other side, the working medium with treatment fluid being subjected to a shearing in the slots. The treatment slots are formed in such a way that their radial extensions increase with increasing distance to the rotational axis (A-A) of the rotor so that a substantially homogeneous shearing velocity is achieved in all of the annular treatment slots.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de traitement d'une suspension de pâte à papier, notamment, à l'aide d'au moins un fluide de traitement, ainsi que sur le dispositif correspondant comportant une enceinte de traitement dans laquelle un rotor (1) en rotation porte sur sa périphérie un certain nombre d'anneaux de rotor (23) coaxiaux, à connexion rigide et un certain nombre d'anneaux de stator (25), disposés de manière coaxiale entre les anneaux de rotor de sorte que sont formées au moins deux encoches axiales annulaires de traitement (27) entre les anneaux de rotor et les anneaux de stator. Un mécanisme d'amenée (19) du support à travailler et un mécanisme d'admission (21) de fluide de traitement sont placés sur l'un des cotés de ces encoches de traitement tandis qu'une sortie du support traité se trouve de l'autre coté, le support à travailler et le fluide de traitement étant soumis à des forces de cisaillement dans les encoches. Ces encoches de traitement sont constituées de manière que leurs prolongements radiaux grandissent avec l'augmentation de la distance vers l'axe de rotation du rotor (A-A) de sorte que la vitesse de cisaillement est sensiblement uniforme dans toutes les encoches annulaires de traitement.
