A gas containing at least water is treated to at least partially remove water from the gas by (a) directly contacting the gas with a liquid fraction containing at least one aqueous phase in the presence of a solvent over all or part of the contact area, said solvent being a non-hydrocarbon compound other than water, and, at the same time, at least partially cooling said gas in the presence of said solvent to cause condensation of at least one liquid phase essentially consisting of solvent and water; and (b) separating the uncondensed gas phase from the condensed liquid phase from which the solvent has been at least partially removed.
On effectue le traitement d'un gaz contenant au moins de l'eau dans le but de débarrasser au moins en partie ledit gaz de l'eau en procédant au moins aux étapes suivantes: a) simultanément, on met en contact direct ledit gaz avec une fraction liquide comprenant au moins une phase aqueuse, en présence d'un solvant, sur au moins une partie de la zone de contact, ledit solvant étant un composé non hydrocarbure autre que de l'eau, et on refroidit au moins en partie ledit gaz en présence dudit solvant pour provoquer la condensation d'au moins une phase liquide formée essentiellement de solvant et d'eau, et b) on sépare la phase gazeuse non condensée de ladite phase liquide condensée au moins en partie épurée du solvant.
