The invention relates to a method for operating a gas discharge lamp having a gas discharge lamp burner and a first and a second electrode, wherein the electrodes have a nominal electrode spacing in the gas discharge lamp burner before the first operation thereof which is correlated with the lamp voltage, comprising the following steps: a) inspecting whether an off time (OT) corresponding to the duration between two direct voltage phases has expired, b) if the off time (OT) has expired, creating direct voltage phases or creating pseudo commutations for a predetermined period of time (VT) dependent on the lamp voltage, in such a way that a period of time of omitting commutations is predetermined for every lamp voltage. The invention likewise relates to an electronic operating device that performs the method according to the invention. The invention further relates to a projector having an electronic operating device, wherein the projector is designed to project an image during performance of the method without the performance of the method being viewable in the image.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour faire fonctionner une lampe à décharge comprenant un brûleur de lampe à décharge ainsi qu'une première et une deuxième électrode. Selon l'invention, ces électrodes présentent une distance interélectrodes nominale dans le brûleur de la lampe à décharge avant leur première utilisation, cette distance étant corrélée avec la tension de lampe. Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes consistant : a) à vérifier si un temps de blocage (OT) correspondant à la durée entre deux phases de tension continue s'est écoulé; b) si ce temps de blocage (OT) s'est écoulé, à appliquer des phases de tension continue ou à appliquer des pseudo-commutations pendant une durée prédéterminée (VT), en fonction de la tension de lampe, de manière que pour chaque tension de lampe, une durée d'absence de commutation soit prédéterminée. Cette invention se rapporte également à un appareil électronique destiné à exécuter ledit procédé. L'invention concerne en outre un projecteur équipé d'un appareil électronique, ce projecteur étant conçu pour projeter une image pendant que le procédé est exécuté, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de regarder l'image pour effectuer ledit procédé.
