The invention relates to a method for extracting hydrocarbons from a mineral material, comprising: a step of mixing the mineral material with a sorbent material so that the sorbent material can take up hydrocarbons from the mineral material; then, a step of separating at least a main portion of the sorbent material loaded with hydrocarbons from the rest of the mixture; then, a step of extracting a main portion of the hydrocarbons present in the portion of the separated sorbent material; characterised in that the separation step comprises transferring the mixture obtained from the mixing step onto a screening surface. The method can particularly be used for the exploitation of bituminous sand. The invention also relates to equipment for implementing said method.

Procédé d'extraction d'hydrocarbure à partir d'une matière minérale, comportant : une étape de mélange de la matière minérale avec une matière sorbante, afin que la matière sorbante se charge d'hydrocarbure au détriment de la matière minérale; puis, une étape de séparation d'au moins une partie essentielle de la matière sorbante chargée d'hydrocarbure, d'avec le reste du mélange; puis, une étape d'extraction de l'essentiel de l'hydrocarbure présent sur la partie de matière sorbante séparée, caractérisé en ce que l'étape de séparation comprend le transfert sur une surface de criblage du mélange obtenu à l'issue de l'étape de mélange. Ce procédé est notamment applicable à l'exploitation de sable bitumineux. L'invention porte aussi sur une installation pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé.
