A method and equipment for tail threading in a paper machine in which tail threading is carried out in stages: - the web (w) is guided to the broke treatment at a selected dryer (C1), - a cut (11) is formed in the web (w) to separate a narrow tail (A) from the rest of the web, i.e. the broke web (B), prior to the said dryer (c1), - the edge (B') opposite to the cut of the broke web is turned away from the cutting point to form an open draw (C) between the tail (A) and the broke web (B), - the tail (A) is guided from the selected dryer (c1) to the following section while the broke web (B) is transferred further to the broke treatment, - while travelling in a controlled manner, the tail (A) is widened to the full width and the broke web (B) is simultaneously reduced away.

L'invention se rapporte à une méthode et à de l'équipement permettant l'engagement de la pointe dans une machine à papier selon les étapes suivantes : - la bande (w) est guidée vers le traitement des cassés à une sécherie sélectionnée (C1), - une coupure(11) est formée dans la bande (w) afin de séparer une pointe étroite (A) du restant de la bande, c.-à-d. les cassés de bande (B), avant ladite sécherie (c1), - le bord (B') opposé à la coupure des cassés de la bande est détourné de la pointe de coupe pour former un tirage ouvert (C) entre la pointe (A) et les cassés de la bande (B), - la pointe (A) est guidée à partir de la sécherie sélectionnée(c1) à la section suivante alors que les cassés de la bande (B) sont transférés vers le traitement des cassés, - tout en se déplaçant d'une manière contrôlée, la pointe (A) est élargie à sa pleine largeur et les cassés de la bande (B) sont simultanément diminués.
