This invention is an apparatus for tissue dissection and instrument anchoring, including a dissection balloon (512) having a viewing window (508) at its distal end, or including an anchoring dissection balloon having a non-uniform elasticity selected to achieve desired inflation shape and pressure characteristics. The window, which can be a wide angle lens, is transparent and sufficiently strong to retain a desired optical shape while being pushed against tissue layers by a rigid instrument (515) deployed within the balloon. In preferred embodiments, the instrument includes a long necked dissection balloon deployed through a cannula, and a housing (513) to which the dissection balloon's mouth is attached. In accordance with a method of use of the invention, the distal end of the balloon is inserted between tissue layers and inflated to dissect the tissue layers.
Cette invention concerne un appareil destiné à la dissection de tissus et à l'ancrage d'instruments, lequel appareil comprend un ballonnet de dissection (512) possédant une fenêtre d'observation (508) à son extrémité distale, ou encore un ballonnet de dissection et d'ancrage possédant une élasticité non uniforme qui permette d'obtenir les caractéristiques de forme de gonflage et de pression souhaitées. Cette fenêtre, qui peut consister en une lentille grand angle, est transparente et suffisamment résistante pour conserver une forme optique souhaitée lorsqu'elle est poussée contre des couches de tissu par un instrument rigide (515) déployé à l'intérieur du ballonnet. Dans des modes de réalisation préférés, l'instrument comprend un ballonnet de dissection à longue encolure qui est déployé par l'intermédiaire d'une canule, ainsi qu'un logement (513) auquel est fixée l'embouchure du ballonnet. D'après un procédé d'utilisation de cette invention, l'extrémité distale du ballonnet est insérée entre des couches de tissu, puis gonflée afin de disséquer ces dernières.
