The invention concerns a method and an installation for manufacturing decorative panels with a relief decoration (2) on at least one of the broad sides, characterised in that one begins with a hard, at least partly thermoplastic artificial resin foam sheet (1) with an essentially closed cell structure, that this sheet is substantially evenly heated on at least one of its broad sides, such that it becomes soft, and that by means of a mould (8) said decorations (2) in raised and/or sunken relief are applied to said side by pressing.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et une installation permettant de fabriquer des panneaux décoratifs présentant une moulure décorative (2) sur au moins l'un des côtés les plus larges, ce procédé se caractérisant en ce que l'on utilise une feuille (1) de mousse de résine synthétique dure au moins en partie thermoplastique, à structure principalement cellulaire, cette feuille étant ensuite chauffée de manière régulière sur au moins l'un desdits côtés de façon à se ramollir, et des motifs décoratifs (2) en rellief et/ou en creux étant appliqués par pressage sur ledit côté au moyen d'un moule (8).
