ABSTRACT Profiled forms made of expanded metal or sheet metal having a roughened or partially permeable sur- face are produced in a single continuous production operation. Hole-yielding locations for receiving re- inforcing bars are formed by punching intersecting cuts or zigzag lines in the margins of strips of the start- ing material, and serrations or undulations are formed in sections cut from the strips by passing the sections through correspondingly shaped pressure rollers. A rust guard is affixed or applied by immersion to one of the longitudinal edges of each section. Two profiled forms can be overlapped so that their serrations or un- dulations fit into one another, thus making it possible to adjust the height of the concrete form stepwise. Fluid concrete cannot penetrate through the holes around the reinforcing bars because the flaps of the hole-yielding locations close the holes at least partially. The profiled forms require no further treatment at the construction site.
