ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of rapidly applying marks by spraying ink or another marking substance on to articles which may move at a high speed or from a marker which may be moving rapidly, comprising the step of speeding up the ink to be sprayed, by centrifugal acceleration produced by rotation around an axis and of guiding the ink during acceleration, so as to produce at least one ink jet along a sweeping path directed, during a fraction of a revolution, towards the article to be marked.
