A supply stream (1) of flat articles (8), in particular of printed products, conveyed hanging and held by grippers is transformed into an imbricated stream (2, 3, 4, 5) or into sections of an imbricated stream, in which the articles are arranged in one of two or advantageously four possible ways. For the stream transformation, the articles (8) are selectively deposited on a conveying surface at a first or at a second depositing point (I, II), wherein the articles (8) deposited at the first depositing point (I) or to be deposited at the first depositing point (I) are additionally rotated by 180° (after or before deposition) and wherein the held article edges are, advantageously selectively, leading or trailing on deposition. The selective stream transformation as well as switching from one transformation mode (A, B/B', C or D/D') to another one are very simple. The stream transformation is suitable in particular for supplying an imbricated stream of printed products selectively to either one of two stacking devices with opposing stacking directions, and for producing e.g. cross stacks (6, 7) in the stacking devices.
Un flux d'approvisionnement (1) d'articles plats (8), en particulier de produits imprimés, transportés suspendus et retenus par des appareils de préhension. Ce flux est transformé en un flux imbriqué (2, 3, 4 et 5) ou en parties d'un flux imbriqué, où les articles sont disposés en une, deux, ou plus avantageusement, de quatre manières possibles. Pour transformer le flux, les articles (8) sont déposés de manière sélective sur une surface de convoyage à un premier ou un second point de dépose (I, II), où les articles (8) déposés ou devant être déposés au premier point (I) subissent de plus une rotation sur 180 degrés (avant ou après leur dépose), et où les bords des articles retenus sont, de préférence de manière sélective, orientés vers l'avant ou l'arrière lors de leur dépose. La transformation sélective du flux, de même que le passage d'un mode de transformation (A, B/B', C ou D/D') à l'autre, sont très simples. La transformation du flux est particulièrement indiquée pour la fourniture sélective d'un flux imbriqué de produits imprimés vers un ou deux dispositifs d'empilement, avec des orientations d'empilage opposées, ainsi que pour permettre la production d'empilages entrecroisés (6, 7) dans les dispositifs d'empilement.
