Method and kit for retrofitting an electric machine (10) to reduce temperature rise therein are provided. The method allows for removing an originally assembled coil support (18) on a spider structure (20) of the machine. The originally assembled coil support is configured to allow axial flow to cooling air from a plurality of cooling vents in the armature of the machine. The method further allows for mounting a new coil support (100) on the spider structure. The new coil support is configured to provide axial and radial routing to cooling air passing from the plurality of cooling vents. The air routing provided by that new coil support enables reduction of temperature rise.
Méthode et trousse servant à modifier en rattrapage une machine électrique (10) afin de réduire l'augmentation de sa température. La méthode permet de retirer un support de bobine installé (18) sur une structure en toile d'araignée de la machine. Le support de bobine installé est conçu pour permettre l'écoulement axial de l'air provoquant son refroidissement à partir de nombreux tuyaux de ventilation dans l'armature de la machine. Cette méthode permet en outre d'installer un nouveau support de bobine (100) sur la structure en toile d'araignée. Le nouveau support de bobine est conçu pour permettre l'écoulement axial et radial de l'air de refroidissement passant par les nombreux tuyaux de ventilation. L'écoulement de l'air créé par ce nouveau support de bobine permet de limiter l'augmentation de la température.
