A method is proposed for wrapping a load, delimited by a side face closed upon itself and two end faces, by means of a film of plastic material. In particular, an initial end part of a strip of film coming from a film reel is associated with the side face of the load. A relative pivoting movement of the film reel axis and of the load is made about a first pivoting axis whose general direction is parallel to the side face, and the strip of film is progressively deposited on this side face. Film is deposited on at least one end face which is to be covered. The strip of film is cut and its terminal end part is secured to the deposited film or to the load, wherein the film coming from the film reel is deposited on the end face which is to be covered, and for this purpose at least one pass is made. During this pass, a relative pivoting movement of the film reel axis and of the load is made about a second pivoting axis whose general direction is at right angles to the first pivoting axis and to the film reel axis. The film reel is brought into a general position close to the end face which is to be covered, or in alignment therewith. In this position, the relative pivoting movement about the first pivoting axis is made. The invention also proposes a machine for wrapping a load by way of film of plastic material.
Méthode proposée pour emballer une charge, délimitée par une surface latérale fermée sur elle-même et deux surfaces d'extrémité, à l'aide d'une pellicule plastique. Pour être plus précis, une première extrémité d'une bande de pellicule provenant d'un rouleau de pellicule est placée sur la surface latérale de la charge. Un mouvement pivotant relatif de l'axe du rouleau de pellicule et de la charge se fait sur un premier axe de pivotement dans une direction parallèle à la surface latérale et la bande de pellicule est déposée progressivement sur la surface latérale. La pellicule est déposée sur au moins une des surfaces d'extrémité à couvrir. La bande de pellicule est coupée et son extrémité est fixée à la pellicule déjà en place ou à la charge, en quoi la pellicule provenant du rouleau est placée sur la surface d'extrémité à couvrir et pour cela au moins un passage est nécessaire. Pendant ce passage, un mouvement pivotant relatif de l'axe du rouleau de pellicule et de la charge se fait sur un deuxième axe de pivotement dans une direction à angle droit par rapport au premier axe de pivotement et à l'axe du rouleau de pellicule. Le rouleau de pellicule est placé près de la surface d'extrémité à couvrir ou aligné avec celle-ci. Dans cette position, le mouvement pivotant relatif sur le premier axe de pivotement se fait. L'invention propose aussi un appareil pour emballer une charge à l'aide d'une pellicule plastique.
