A method and apparatus that uses safety apparel that has an identification element (32)so that a sensor (30,31)on a machine (10)may detect the presence of the identification element(32). Upon detecting the presence of the identification element(32), the sensors (30,31) electronically activate a series of switches and relays that allow the machine to operate. A plurality of relays can be set up so that when certain operational parameters occur, or do not occur, the machine is shut down. This includes a timing circuit to ensure the machine is being properly operated. Once the machine shuts down the operator must repeat the procedure of placing the identification element(32) in communication with the sensors(30,31).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil qui utilisent un linge de forme pourvu d'un élément d'identification (32), de telle manière qu'un détecteur (30, 31) situé sur une machine (10) peut détecter la présence dudit élément d'identification (32). Suite à la détection de la présence de cet élément d'identification (32), les détecteurs (30, 31) servent à activer électroniquement une série de commutateurs et de relais qui permettent à la machine de fonctionner. Une pluralité de relais peuvent être réglés, de telle façon que lorsque certains paramètres opérationnels se produisent ou non, la machine s'éteint. Cette invention a aussi trait à un circuit de synchronisation garantissant que la machine fonctionne de manière appropriée. Une fois que la machine est éteinte, l'opérateur doit répéter cette procédure de placement de l'élément d'identification (32) en communication avec les détecteurs (30, 31).
