The apparatus of this invention is utilized for mounting a wind turbine on the upper end of a wind turbine tower (12), the invention also relates to the method of erecting the same. The tower is provided with a pair of spaced-apart guide rails (26) positioned at one side thereof which extend from the lower end to the upper end of the tower. A carriage (32) is movably mounted on the guide rails and has a platform (52) pivotally mounted thereon adapted to support the wind turbine thereon. The carriage positions the wind turbine so that the spinner/hub and rotor blades may be secured thereto while the wind turbine is at the lower end of the tower and provides a means for slidably moving the wind turbine from the carriage to the upper end of the tower when the carriage has been winched to the upper end of the tower.
La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif utilisé pour le montage d'une éolienne sur l'extrémité supérieure d'une tour (12) pour éolienne, ainsi qu'à un procédé d'installation d'une éolienne. La tour comporte une paire de rails de guidage (26) espacés et positionnés sur un côté de ladite tour, de son extrémité inférieure à son extrémité supérieure. Un chariot (32) qui est monté mobile sur les rails de guidage possède une plate-forme (52) montée pivotante sur ledit chariot et conçue pour supporter l'éolienne. Le chariot positionne l'éolienne de sorte que la casserole/le moyeu et les pales de rotor puissent être fixés sur ledit chariot lorsque l'éolienne se trouve à l'extrémité inférieure de la tour, ledit chariot constituant un moyen permettant de déplacer par coulissement l'éolienne jusqu'à l'extrémité supérieure de la tour lorsque ledit chariot est treuillé jusqu'à l'extrémité supérieure de la tour.
