A method of stuffing natural casings with emulsion involves slidably mounting a collar element (28) on the stuffing tube (14) of the machine adjacent an end of the stuffing tube opposite to the discharge end (14A) thereof. The collar is slidably advanced towards the discharge end of the tube to telescope the casing into a shirred condition (A) while leaving a non-shirred (8) portion downstream thereof. The non-shirred portion of the casing (32) is progressively advanced while the casing is filled with emulsion from the tube. A sensor (24) is placed in the proximity of the non-shshirred portion of the casing to detect whether shirred or non-shirred casing is present. The sensor is connected to a controller (26) so that the collar will be advanced to slide the casing material on the tube when the non-shirred casing is detected, and the advance of the collar is stopped when shirred casing material is detected.
Cette invention concerne un procédé d'embossage de farce en boyaux naturels consistant à monter coulissant une bague (28) sur le tube d'embossage (14) de la machine à proximité d'une extrémité du tube d'embossage située à l'opposé de l'extrémité d'évacuation (14A) dudit tube. La bague coulisse en direction de l'extrémité d'évacuation du tube afin de réduire le boyau en position froncée (A) et de laisser une partie non froncée (8) du boyau en aval de la première partie. Cette partie non froncée du boyau (32) avance progressivement pendant que le boyau est rempli avec la farce sortant du tube. Un détecteur (24) est placé à proximité de la partie non froncée du boyau afin qu'il détecte si la une partie froncée ou non froncée du boyau est présente. Le détecteur est connecté à une unité de commande (26) de façon que la bague avance pour faire coulisser le boyau sur le tube lorsque le boyau non froncé est détecté et que la progression de la bague soit interrompue lorsque le boyau froncé est détecté.
