Consists of. Using a thixotropic material as a basic material to produce an original model by moving the material around with simple tools. Of using the model, in conjunction with a cold process flexible mold producing method to produce a female impression mold. Of using the female mold cavity to cast a pourable rigid setting material to be used in eliminating any unwanted parts and generally improving the model. Of using the improved model to make a second flexible female impression mold. Of using the second flexible mold and casting into it's cavity a compatible material to produce a flexible male duplicate of the improved model. Of using the above to produce a rigid female cavity vaccuum forming mold. Of using the vaccuum forming mold and conventional vaccuum forming procedure to form an expendable thermoplastic sheet of a selected thickness. Of using the formed sheet, in conjunction with the 'lost wax process' to produce a metal casting. Of using the original thixotropic model to insert a part of soluble wax in order to create a depressed cavity in the surface of the model. Of using a part of a rigid material inserted in the surface of the original thixotropic model to remain as a permanent part of the model.
Utiliser une matière thixotrope comme matériau de base pour la fabrication d'un modèle original au moyen d'instruments simples; utiliser ce modèle et un procédé de fabrication à froid de moules souples pour fabriquer un moule négatif; couler dans ce dernier une matière durcissable pour obtenir un moulage de travail qui permettra d'améliorer le modèle par enlèvement de matière; utiliser ce modèle amélioré pour fabriquer un deuxième moule négatif souple; couler dans ce dernier une matière compatible pour obtenir une copie positive souple du modèle amélioré; utiliser cette dernière pour fabriquer un moule négatif rigide adapté au moulage sous vide; utiliser ce moule et une technique classique de moulage sous vide pour former une feuille thermoplastique perdue d'épaisseur déterminée; utiliser cette dernière et la technique de moulage à cire perdue pour obtenir un moulage en métal; insérer dans le modèle original en matière thixotrope une pièce en cire pour obtenir une cavité à la surface du modèle; insérer dans la surface du modèle original en matière thixotrope un élément en matière rigide destiné à faire partie du modèle.
