The plastic substrate portion of the part is formed by a first injection of plastic into a mold, so as to adhere to an overlying sheet of coverstock material. A portion of the coverstock is not initially adhered to the substrate. A second injection of plastic forms the undecorated portion of the part, and bonds to thesubstrate portion to form a unitary plastic panel. In the course of contacting the substrate portion, the plastic from the second injection folds and hides the non- adhered portion of the cover stock, thereby forming a neat, clean split line.
Substrat en plastique d'une pièce formé par une première injection de plastique dans un moule de manière à adhérer à une feuille sus-jacente de matériau de couverture. Au départ, une partie de cette feuille n'est pas collée au substrat. Une deuxième injection de plastique forme la partie non décorée de la pièce moulée et adhère au substrat pour former un panneau de plastique unitaire. Pendant la mise en contact avec le substrat, le plastique provenant de la deuxième injection est replié et cache la partie non collée de la feuille de matériau de couverture, formant ainsi une ligne de fente nettement définie.
