A method of manufacturing a terminal block (10) for a telecommunication cable comprising the steps of providing a mold (300) having a first half (302) and a second half (304), each forming a respective body cavity configured to form a terminal block and configured to receive a substrate (210) comprising a plurality of openings adapted to receive an insulated electrical contact. A plurality of projections (310) extend from the first half into the cavity, wherein the plurality of projections are adapted to remove a portion of insulation (136) from the electrical contact (134) positioned within each of the openings (220). The substrate (210) is positioned in the mold and the insulated electrical contact is inserted into each of the openings. The mold is closed such that the plurality of projections remove a portion of the insulation from the insulated electrical contact upon closing of the mold. A dielectric material is then injected into the mold containing the substrate and insulated electrical contact to form a terminal block. The terminal block is removed from the mold, wherein the plurality of projections form a socket adapted to receive an electrical connector.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un bloc de branchement pour un câble de télécommunication, lequel procédé comprend les étapes qui consistent à utiliser un moule présentant une première moitié et une seconde moitié, chaque moitié formant une cavité corporelle respective configurée pour former un bloc de branchement et pour recevoir un substrat comprenant plusieurs ouvertures conçues pour recevoir un contact électrique isolé. Plusieurs projections s'étendent depuis la première moitié de moule dans la cavité, les multiples projections étant conçues pour éliminer une partie d'isolation du contact électrique se trouvant à l'intérieur de chacune des ouvertures. Le substrat est placé dans le moule et le contact électrique isolé est inséré dans chacune des ouvertures. Le moule est fermé de telle sorte que chacune des multiples projections élimine une partie de l'isolation du contact électrique isolé lors de la fermeture du moule. Un matériau diélectrique est ensuite injecté dans le moule contenant le substrat et un contact électrique isolé de manière à former un bloc de branchement. Le bloc de branchement est éliminé du moule, les multiples projections formant un culot conçu pour recevoir un connecteur électrique.
