The present invention relates to a method and a processing time testing device for monitoring the processing time of shipping goods, particularly of postal items, wherein the movements of a shipment are registered and stored in a processing time testing device for future analysis of the course of the shipment, wherein the processing time testing device is equipped with sensors, a GPS receiver, and storage media, wherein the device corresponds largely to the shipping goods to be monitored with regard to dimensions and properties, and wherein the device determines the current type of transportation from the sensor data via a microprocessor. In order to be able to monitor particularly the processing time and modes of transportation of standard letters and similar postal items over a period of several days, the invention provides a method and a processing time testing device, wherein the recipient can be selectively switched on and off for the satellite-assisted positioning system (GPS) as a function of the changing receipt conditions and the current mode of transportation of the shipping goods.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de contrôle du délai d'acheminement pour surveiller le délai d'acheminement d'une marchandise, en particulier d'un envoi postal, grâce auxquels les mouvements d'un envoi sont enregistrés et gardés en mémoire dans un appareil de contrôle du délai d'acheminement pour analyse ultérieure du trajet de transport et, à cet effet, ledit appareil de contrôle du délai d'acheminement, dont les dimensions et les propriétés correspondent en grande partie à celles de la marchandise à surveiller, est équipé de détecteurs, de récepteurs GPS et de moyens d'enregistrement, et détermine à l'aide d'un microprocesseur le mode de transport effectivement employé, d'après les données fournies par les détecteurs. Pour pouvoir surveiller, en particulier, le délai d'acheminement et le parcours de lettres ordinaires et d'envois postaux similaires sur plusieurs jours, l'invention propose un procédé et un appareil de contrôle du délai d'acheminement selon lesquels le récepteur du système de localisation par satellite (GPS) peut être connecté et déconnecté de manière ciblée, en fonction des changements de conditions de réception et du mode de transport de la marchandise effectivement employé.
