Disclosed are a method and a production line for manufacturing metal strips made of copper or copper alloys by means of casting and rolling. In order to lower the investment cost and operating expenses therefor, the melt (2) is cast into a copper strip (4) in a vertical and/or horizontal continuous strip casting process (3), and the hot copper strip (4) is cleaned by milling (5) the top and bottom face (5a, 5b) thereof, is subjected to a cold rolling process (6), and is prepared for shipping, or is subjected to an inspection (12) and then prepared for shipping after being annealed (7), pickled (8), washed (9), dried (10), and optionally temper rolled (11).

L'invention concerne un procédé et une chaîne de production utilisés pour produire des bandes métalliques à base de cuivre ou d'alliage de cuivre, par coulée et laminage, qui requièrent des charges d'investissement et des frais d'exploitation moindres, du fait que la matière fondue (2) est coulée pour former une bande de cuivre (4), dans un processus de coulée continue de bande (3) vertical et/ou horizontal. La bande de cuivre (4) encore chaude est nettoyée par fraisage (5) au niveau de la face supérieure et de la face inférieure (5a, 5b), est soumise à un processus de laminage à froid (6), puis est rendue prête à l'expédition ou est soumise à une inspection (12), après recuit (7), décapage (8), lavage (9) et séchage (10) et éventuellement une étape de laminage par dressage (11), avant d'être rendue prête à l'expédition.
