A method for protecting against duplication of a document with a color copier and a security substrate comprises providing a background color on a document having an average reflectance value and printing on the background with a contrast color having a spectral characteristic which modulates the average reflectance value by no more than 5 % and has an average value equal to the average reflectance value. The contrast color is printed with a printing medium including one of a colorformer leucodye and an activating phenolic resin. The other use of the colorformer leucodye and the activating phenolic resin is to permit the user to verify that the document is an original and not a copy.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé pour protéger des documents contre leur reproduction au moyen d'un photocopieur couleur ainsi qu'à un substrat de sécurité pour documents de valeur. On produit à cet effet une couleur de fond sur un document ayant une valeur de réflectance moyenne et on imprime le fond du document avec une couleur de contraste ayant une caractéristique spectrale qui module la valeur de réflectance moyenne par un écart ne dépassant pas 5 % et qui possède une valeur moyenne égale à la valeur de réflectance moyenne. La couleur de contraste est imprimée au moyen d'un support d'impression contenant un leucodérivé de colorant et une résine phénolique d'activation. L'autre utilisation du leucodérivé de colorant et de la résine phénolique d'activation a pour but de permettre à l'utilisateur de vérifier que le document est bien un original et non pas une copie.
