In the method according to the invention, the elastomeric skin is manufactured in a mould assembly having a mould surface (2), a portion (3) of which is shielded off by means of a mask (4), a first elastomeric material (7) is sprayed on this mould surface (2), the mask (4) is removed, and a second elastomeric material (9) is sprayed on said portion (3) of the mould surface (2). The edges (11) of the mask (4) are placed on top of upstanding edges (13) of the mould surface (2) so that the transition between both elastomeric materials (7, 9) is achieved on these upstanding edges (13), i.e. in an outer recess of the elastomeric skin resulting in an aesthetic visual parting line. According to a further important aspect, the edges (11) of the mask (4) are maintained at a distance from the mould surface (2) such as to avoid contact between the layer of first elastomeric material (7) sprayed onto the mould surface (2) and the mask (4).
Dans le procédé de l'invention, la peau en élastomères est réalisée en utilisant un moule de manière à ce qu'une portion (3) de la surface (2) du moule soit couverte par un masque (4). On pulvérise un premier élastomère (7) sur cette surface (2) de moule. Le masque (4) est ôté et on pulvérise un second élastomère (9) sur ladite portion (3) de la surface (2) du moule. Les bords (11) du masque (4) sont placés sur le haut de bords perpendiculaires (13) à la surface (2) du moule, de sorte que la transition entre les deux élastomères (7, 9) se fait au niveau de ces bords perpendiculaires (13), c'est-à-dire dans un creux sur le côté externe de la peau de l'élastomère constituant une ligne de partage visible à l'oeil et esthétique. Selon un autre aspect important, les bords (11) du masque (4) sont maintenus à une certaine distance de la surface du moule (2) pour éviter le contact entre la couche du premier élastomère (7) pulvérisé sur la surface (2) du moule et le masque (4).
