A method for stabilizing, in correctness, the transverse cross section of the end of an elongate structural beam during weld attachment to that end of a beam-end mounting component. This method includes the steps of (a) configurationally correcting and capturing the end transverse footprint of such a beam with an external structure to lock that footprint against subsequent configuration change, and (b), while performing that capturing step, weld-attaching the beam's end transverse footprint to the mentioned beam- end mounting component.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour stabiliser de manière correcte la section transversale de l'extrémité d'une poutre porteuse allongée pendant la fixation par soudage à l'extrémité d'un élément de montage d'extrémité de poutre. Le procédé consiste à: a) corriger la configuration et relever l'empreinte transversale d'extrémité d'une telle poutre, à l'aide d'une structure externe, afin de verrouiller cette empreinte contre une modification de configuration ultérieure; et b) pendant l'étape de relevé d'empreinte, fixer par soudage l'empreinte transversale d'extrémité de la poutre à l'élément de montage d'extrémité de poutre.
