The present invention provides an intelligent call processor (172), an intelligent switching node and an intelligent communications network for use in a communication system (170). The intelligent call processor comprises a logical platform having a plurality of functions wherein at least one of the functions is service processing function (22), at least one of the functions is call processing (24), and at least one of the functions is facility processing (26), and a processor (172) for executing the plurality of functions. The intelligent switching node comprises an intelligent call processor (172) and, a resource complex (180) communicably linked to the intelligent call processor (172) and logically separated from the intelligent call processor (172). The intelligent communications network comprises a plurality of intelligent distributed network nodes, a network management system for monitoring and controlling a wide area network and the plurality of intelligent switching nodes, and the wide area network interconnecting the plurality of intelligent distributed network nodes and the network management system.
La présente invention concerne un processeur d'appels intelligent (172), un noeud de commutation intelligent et un réseau de communications intelligent destiné à un système de communications (170). Le réseau de communications intelligent comprend une pluralité de noeuds de réseau distribués intelligents, un système de gestion de réseau chargé de surveiller et de commander un réseau longues distances et la pluralité de noeuds de réseau intelligents, et le réseau longues distances interconnectant la pluralité de noeuds de réseau distribués intelligents et le système de gestion de réseau.
