A method and system for arranging via the Internet for distribution of new securities issues. Conditional offers from prospective purchasers of a new issue are placed at client systems and received by a server system. When the issue closes, the server system allocates the new issue to prospective purchasers who have placed conditional offers, confirms the purchases to the purchasers, and communicates the orders to the purchasers' existing brokerage firms for processing and settlement directly between the purchasers and their existing brokers.
