A method for booking or checking or saving travel products from a travel service provider operating over a network and comprising at least one server running a travel application, the travel application delivering map-based interface web pages to at least one client applications, the method, comprising the steps in destination of: receiving a request from a client application including a definition of a geographic area at the travel application; determining what travel products are potentially available in the defined geographic area; putting together a map of the geographic area; further including the step of: embedding in the map the positions of the potentially available travel products; retrieving from the at least one server database static data corresponding to the potentially available travel products within the defined geographic area; fetching from a global distribution system (GDS) real-time data related to the potentially available travel products within the defined geographic area; merging the map, the static data and the real-time data in a map-based interface web page; forwarding said web page in response to the client application having issued the request. Proceeding on client side with booking, checking or saving of one of the travel products on the basis of its location on the map, contents of the static data and contents of real-time data.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour réserver, vérifier ou sauvegarder des produits de voyage chez un fournisseur de services de voyage travaillant sur un réseau et comprenant au moins un serveur exécutant une application de voyage, ladite application distribuant des pages Web comprenant une carte à au moins une application client. Le procédé de l'invention comprend les étapes qui consistent : à recevoir une demande d'une application client qui comprend une définition d'une zone géographique sur l'application de voyage; à déterminer quels produits de voyage sont potentiellement disponibles dans la zone géographique définie; à constituer une carte de la zone géographique; à intégrer dans la carte les positions des produits de voyage potentiellement disponibles; à extraire de la ou des bases de données de serveur des données statiques correspondant aux produits de voyage potentiellement disponibles à l'intérieur de la zone géographique définie; à aller chercher dans un système mondial de distribution (GDS) des données en temps réel associées aux produits de voyage potentiellement disponibles à l'intérieur de la zone géographique définie; à regrouper la carte, les données statiques et les données en temps réel dans une page Web comprenant une carte; et à réexpédier ladite page Web en réponse à l'application client ayant émis la demande. Le client peut ainsi procéder à la réservation, la vérification ou la sauvegarde d'un des produits de voyage sur la base de son emplacement sur la carte, des contenus des données statiques et des contenus des données en temps réel.
