A method and system for building modular platform structures from which oil and gas wells are drilled and main-tained inludes a plurality of easily transportable, multifunctional platform modules (13) are interconnected on-site to form a unitary platform structure. The interconnected platform modules (13) are elevated above a ground surface on one or more legs (15) coupled to at least one of the platform modules. The elevated, interconnected platform modules (13) support both drilling and production operations in land-based, arctic, inaccessible, near-offshore and environmentally sensitive locations.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de construction de structures de plate-forme modulaires à partir desquelles des puits de pétrole et de gaz sont forés et entretenus. Ces procédé et système sont caractérisés en ce qu'une pluralité de modules de plate-forme faciles à transporter et multifonctionnels sont interconnectés sur le terrain, de manière à former une structure de plate-forme unitaire. Les modules de plate-forme interconnectés sont élevés au-dessus de la surface du sol sur une ou plusieurs piles couplées à au moins un module de plate-forme. Les modules de plate-forme interconnectés et élevés supportent les opérations de forage et de production dans des emplacements terrestres, arctiques, inaccessibles, proches du fond marin et respectant l'environnement.
