Browser frames residing on different domain servers may exchange information indirectly without compromising security that ordinary restricts frame to frame communication. The first browser frame causes the browser to generate a notification of a change of state of the browser frame. The browser sends the notification, together with data values from the content of the first browser frame, to a domain server that hosts the second frame. The server software running on the domain server receives and interprets the notification and data values, and updates the content of the second frame according to the interpretation. The domain server then sends the updated content back to the browser that issued the notification. The browser displays the updated content in the area allocated to the second frame.

L'invention concerne des trames de navigateur résidant sur des serveurs de domaines différents qui peuvent échanger indirectement des informations ordinairement limitées à une communication de trame à trame sans compromettre leur sécurité. La première trame amène le navigateur à générer une notification de changement d'état de la trame de navigateur. Ledit navigateur envoie une notification ainsi que des valeurs de données provenant du contenu de la première trame à un serveur de domaine qui héberge la seconde trame. Le logiciel s'exécutant sur le serveur de domaine reçoit et interprète la notification et les valeurs de données, et met à jour le contenu de la seconde trame en fonction de l'interprétation. Puis, le serveur de domaine renvoie le content mis à jour au navigateur qui a émis la notification. Le navigateur affiche alors le content mis à jour dans la zone attribuée à la seconde trame.
