A system and method for controlling the fuel pressure in a common rail fuel injection system (14) which electronically controls a variable output high pressure pump (16) based upon engine speed, torque and actual common rail pressure inputs, as well as the present system voltage, thereby providing simple yet stable control of the fuel pressure in the accumulator (20) of the common rail system (14) and making the system relatively insensitive to supply voltage fluctuations from the power source which controls the high pressure pump (16).
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de régulation de la pression de carburant dans un dispositif accumulateur à injection de carburant commun (14), régulant électroniquement une pompe à haute pression à puissance de sortie variable (16), en fonction du régime du moteur, du couple moteur, et des entrées réelles de pression dans ledit accumulateur. Ce système permet également de réguler efficacement la tension du dispositif. Ce système et ce procédé régulent ainsi facilement mais efficacement la pression de carburant dans l'accumulateur (20) dudit dispositif accumulateur commun (14), ce qui rend ce dispositif relativement insensible aux variations de la tension d'alimentation provenant de la source d'alimentation commandant ladite pompe à haute pression (16).
