A system (100) for providing irrigation control is provided. The system (100) includes a processor (104) configured to calculate an offset to an evapotranspiration (ET) value and an irrigation system (106) configured to receive the offset from the processor (104) and provide appropriate irrigation adjustment based on the offset. The offset is calculated based on the ET value and the ET value has been previously provided to the irrigation system (106).
