A system and method for converting data generated in an computer engineering design software component to an alternate format usable by a variety of alternate software components is provided. Engineering data from a project having a plurality of objects is provided. Objects are selected from the project for conversion and transportation to one of the alternate software components. The selected objects are converted to an alternate format, transported to the alternate software component and regenerated by the alternate software component in its own environment.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour convertir les données générées par un logiciel de conception technique en un format alternatif pouvant être utilisé par de différents composants logiciels. On fournit des données techniques provenant d'un projet possédant une pluralité d'objets. Les objets sont sélectionnés dans un projet destiné à la conversion et au transport vers l'un des composants logiciels alternatifs. Les objets sélectionnés sont convertis dans un format alternatif, transportés vers le composant logiciel alternatif et régénérés par le composant logiciel alternatif dans son propre environnement.
