Methods and systems for electrical determination and adjustment of the fuel concentration in direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) are provided. The method consist in measuring the alternating current impedance of the fuel cell and comparing with predetermined impedances as a function of methanol concentration.

La présente invention a trait à des procédés et à des systèmes permettant de déterminer et de régler électriquement la concentration en combustible dans des piles directes à combustible à base de méthanol (piles DMFC). Le procédé comprend une étape consistant à mesurer limpédance du courant alternatif de la pile à combustible et une étape consistant à comparer les résultats à des impédances prédéterminées en fonction de la concentration en méthanol.
