The invention relates to a method and a system, for determining the amplitude and/or phase of the output signal for a transmission body, depending on the amplitude of the input signal (AM-AM and/or AM-PM curve) by imposing a test signal (s(t)) on a transmission body (14), measuring the response signal (e(t)) generated in the transmission body from the test signal s(t) by amplitude or phase modulation and determining the amplitude curve (|e(t)|) of the response signal (e(t)) and/or the phase curves (.PHI.s(t), .PHI.E(t)) of the test signal (s(t)) and the response signal (e(t)) as a function of the amplitude curve (|s(t)|) of the test signal (s(t)). The amplitude curve (|s(t)|) of the test signal (s(t)) is made up of several first and second curve sections with constant amplitude values during the period (.DELTA.T) of said first and second curve sections.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système pour déterminer l'amplitude et/ou la phase du signal de sortie d'un élément de transmission en fonction de l'amplitude du signal d'entrée (courbe caractéristique AM-AM et/ou AM-PM). Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à: appliquer un signal de test (s(t)) à un élément de transmission (14); mesurer le signal de réponse (e(t)) produit à partir du signal de test s(t) sous l'effet de la distorsion d'amplitude et/ou de la distorsion de phase dans l'élément de transmission (e(t)); et déterminer la courbe d'amplitude (|e(t)|) du signal de réponse et/ou les courbes de phase (fs(t), fE(t)) du signal de test (s(t)) et du signal de réponse (e(t)) en fonction de la courbe d'amplitude (|s(t)|) du signal de test (s(t)). La courbe d'amplitude (|s(t)|) du signal de test (s(t)) est constituée d'une pluralité de premiers et de deuxièmes segments de courbe présentant des valeurs d'amplitude constantes dans l'intervalle de temps (?T) du premier ou du deuxième segment de courbe respectif.
