The invention provides a system for diagnosing degradation of a plurality of wires in an electrical system having plurality of loads connected by the plurality of wires to a direct current power source, the plurality of wires arranged into a bundle near the power source. The system comprises a current sensor located proximate to the bundle for producing a signal representative of a current in the bundle, a signal processor coupled to the sensor to receive the signal from the current sensor, a pattern database coupled to the signal processor to provide the signal processor with expected patterns of currents drawn by the plurality of loads and patterns of arcs which may occur in the plurality of wires, and, an output device coupled to the signal processor to receive an indication of a location at which an arc occurred in the plurality of wires.
L'invention concerne un système pour diagnostiquer une dégradation sur une pluralité de câbles d'un système électrique présentant une pluralité de charges reliées par la pluralité de câbles à une source d'alimentation de courant continu. La pluralité de câbles est agencée pour former un faisceau à proximité de la source d'alimentation. Le système comprend un capteur de courant situé à proximité du faisceau pour produire un signal représentatif d'un courant traversant le faisceau, un processeur de signal relié au capteur permet de recevoir le signal provenant du capteur de courant, une base de données de motifs est reliée au processeur de signal pour fournir, au processeur de signal, des motifs attendus de courants tirés par la pluralité de charges et de motifs d'arcs pouvant se produire dans la pluralité de câbles, et, un dispositif de sortie est relié au processeur de signal pour recevoir une indication portant sur l'emplacement où un arc s'est produit dans la pluralité de câbles.
