A method and system (10) of drilling multiple radial wells (60) using underbalanced drilling, by first drilling a principal wellbore (16). There would then be provided a first carrier string (30) having a deflection member (50) on its lowermost end. There is then lowered a second drill string (12) that is deflected by the deflection member (50) from the principal wellbore (16). A second fluid is then pumped into an annular space between the second drill string (12) and the carrier string (30) to a position that it co-mingles with a first fluid. There is then provided a volume of fluid to establish an equilibrium within the carrier string (30). The direction of the deflection member (50) is reoriented to a second depth within the borehole. Finally, the drill string (12) and drill bit (46) is lowered to a second depth to drill a second radial well (60) while the well is alive and producing.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système (10) de forage de multiples puits radiaux (60) au moyen d'un forage déséquilibré consistant à forer d'abord un trou de forage (16) principal. Ensuite, il faut abaisser une première colonne transporteuse (30) présentant un élément de déviation (50) sur son extrémité la plus basse. Ledit élément (50) fait dévier une seconde colonne de forage (12) de trou de forage (16) principal. Un second fluide est ensuite pompé dans un espace annulaire entre la seconde colonne de forage (12) et la colonne transporteuse (30) dans une position dans laquelle il est mélangé avec un premier fluide. On apporte ensuite un volume de fluide pour établir un équilibre à l'intérieur de la colonne transporteuse (30). Le sens de l'élément de déviation (50) est réorienté vers une seconde profondeur à l'intérieur du trou de forage. Finalement, la colonne de forage (12) et le trépan (46) sont abaissés à une seconde profondeur pour forer un second puits radial (60) alors que le puits est actif et en train de produire.
