Calls to/from one or more devices (99, 100) operated by a subscriber (B-Party) are dynamically anchored as a need is imposed by mobility of the subscriber. A dynamic call anchoring client application (102) that executes on the one or more devices operated by the subscriber may determine when criteria are satisfied for handover of a call in progress form an enterprise network (12) to another network (14), or vice versa. Replaces functionality in a switch (90) in the enterprise network is used to effect the dynamic call anchoring by replacing a call leg (420) anchored in one of the networks with a call leg (458) anchored in the other of the networks.
