An automated method of producing an encoded image for use in authenticating a printed version of a digital document is presented. The method comprises establishing at least one digitized authentication image, receiving at least one user-supplied encoding parameter, and determining at least one non-user- supplied encoding parameter. The method further comprises establishing a first encoding parameter set including the at least one user-supplied encoding parameter and the at least one non-user-supplied encoding parameter. The first encoding parameter set is usable to encode one or more of the at least one digitized authentication image. The method also comprises encoding one or more of the at least one digitized authentication image using the first encoding parameter set to produce a final encoded image.
L'invention concerne un procédé automatique permettant de produire une image codée destinée à être utilisée dans l'authentification d'une version imprimée d'un document numérique. Ce procédé consiste à établir au moins une image d'authentification numérisée, à recevoir au moins un paramètre de codage procuré par l'utilisateur et à déterminer au moins un paramètre de codage non procuré par l'utilisateur. Ce procédé consiste également à établir un premier ensemble de paramètres de codage comprenant au moins le ou les paramètres de codage procurés par l'utilisateur et le ou les paramètres de codage non procurés par l'utilisateur. Le premier ensemble de paramètres de codage peut être utilisé pour coder au moins une de la ou des images d'authentification numérisées. Ce procédé consiste également à coder au moins une de la ou des images d'authentification numérisées au moyen du premier ensemble de paramètres de codage pour produire une image codée finale.
