A method and system for evaluating geophysical survey data is provided. Two neighboring flight paths of a geophysical survey are likely to have geophysical characteristics in common because neighboring flight paths cover geographic areas in a close proximity to one another. As such, neighboring flight paths will likely have similar geophysical characteristics and similar recorded data. Therefore, errors in data can be estimated by comparing data recorded from neighboring flight paths. If data from a flight path differs significantly from data recorded from a neighboring flight path, then the data from one or both flight paths may be corrupted and at least one of the survey lines may need to be repeated. This auto evaluate method allows field personnel to judge data close to real time to determine whether to repeat a flight path while still out in the field.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système d'évaluation de données d'étude géophysique. Deux trajets de vol voisins d'une étude géophysique sont susceptibles de posséder des caractéristiques géophysiques en commun car deux trajets de vol voisins recouvrent des zones géographiques situées à proximité étroite l'une de l'autre. De ce fait, des trajets de vol voisin sont susceptibles de posséder des caractéristiques géophysiques similaires et des données enregistrées similaires. Par conséquent, les erreurs dans des données peuvent être estimées par comparaison des données enregistrées à partir des trajets de vol voisins. Si des données d'un trajet de vol diffèrent de manière importante de données enregistrées à partir d'un trajet de vol voisin, les données émanant d'un ou des deux trajets de vol peuvent être corrompues et au moins une des lignes d'étude peuvent nécessiter une répétition. Ce procédé d'auto-évaluation permet à du personnel de terrain de juger des données presque en temps réel de façon à déterminer s'il convient de répéter un trajet de vol alors qu'il est toujours dehors sur le terrain.
