A method and system for analyzing historical medical provider billings to statistically establish a normative utilization profile. Comparison of a medical provider's utilization profile with a normative profile is enabled. Client data (101) is loaded from tape. Steps of reordering fields (103) and performing date of service expansion (104) are made. Data is then merged and sorted (106) to ensure all bill ID's are grouped together. Data (108) is then read, analyzed and merged into an extended data set (110). Any other processing (111) may occur and an episode of care (121) is created.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système pour analyser les historiques d'utilisation de prestations médicales et les coûts afférents, pour établir un profil d'utilisation standard. On peut ainsi comparer le profil d'un prestataire particulier avec ce standard. Les données concernant un client (101) sont chargées sur une bande. On procède à un réarrangement des zones (103) de la mémoire et à un enregistrement des dates/durées des services (104). Les données sont fusionnées et triées (106) de manière à ce que toutes les factures soient groupées par numéro d'identification. On lit ensuite des données (108), on les analyse et on les fusionne pour avoir l'ensemble complet des données (110). On peut effectuer d'autres traitements (111) et créer un fichier pour les périodes de traitement (121).
