A system and method for creating reformate with decreased carbon deposition. The system is made up of a steam source, a superheater, a fuel injection device, a prereformer, and a reformer with catalyst linings. The system functions to superheat steam while maintaining the fuel at a lower temperature prior to injection and mixing with the steam. After injection and mixing, the steam and fuel mixture is then passed through a prereformer where catalysts treat a portion of the fuel and steam mixture. After these portions are treated with a catalyst, the mixture is passed through to a reformer where further treatment of the material by catalyst takes place.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé destinés à créer un reformat à dépôt de carbone réduit. Le système est constitué d'une source de vapeur, d'un surchauffeur, d'un dispositif d'injection de carburant, d'un préreformeur, et d'un reformeur à tubes intérieurs de catalyse. Le système sert à surchauffer la vapeur tout en maintenant le carburant à une température inférieure avant son injection et son mélange avec la vapeur. Après injection et mélange, le mélange de vapeur et de carburant est passé à travers un préreformeur dans lequel les catalyseurs traitent une partie du mélange de carburant et de vapeur. Une fois ces parties traitées avec un catalyseur, le mélange est passé à travers un reformeur dans lequel a lieu un traitement ultérieur de la matière par le catalyseur.
