An information providing system provides location information of a mobile station in a mobile network to a terminal. A location server in the network manages location of the mobile station. A location information server communicates with the terminal. Upon receiving, from an object's transmitting device, identifying information for an object, the mobile station transmits the mobile station identifying information and the received identifying information to the location server. The location server receives and stores this information. Upon receiving, from said terminal, an inquiry of mobile station location information including the mobile identifying information, the location information server judges whether the corresponding object identifying information is stored in the location server. If the object identifying information is found, then the location information server informs the terminal that the mobile station is in the object.
L'invention concerne un système d'information qui fournit les coordonnées d'une station mobile sur un réseau mobile à un terminal. Un serveur de localisation dans le réseau gère la localisation de la station mobile. Un serveur d'information de position communique avec le terminal. Dès la réception d'une information d'identification d'un objet en provenance d'un dispositif de transmission d'un objet, la station mobile transmet l'information d'identification de la station mobile et l'information d'identification reçue au serveur de localisation. Le serveur de localisation reçoit et stocke cette information. Après avoir reçu une demande d'information de localisation de la station mobile en provenance dudit terminal, y compris l'information d'identification de la station mobile, le serveur d'information de position détermine si l'information d'identification d'objet correspondante est stockée dans le serveur de localisation. Si l'information d'identification d'objet est repérée, alors le serveur d'information de position informe le terminal que la station mobile est dans l'objet.
