A method and a system for measuring the relief of an object are described herein. The system includes a grid projecting for projecting a grid, an image acquisition apparatus that includes a camera, and a computer. Providing a reference object having common elements with the object to measure, the method includes the steps of a) positioning the grid at three different known positions relative to the camera and the common elements; b) for each position of the grid, projecting the grid unto the reference object and, with the camera, taking an image of the reference object to yield three images having values for each pixel of the camera and c) computing the reference object phase for each pixel using the three reference object intensity values for the corresponding pixel. Steps a), b) and c) are repeated by replacing the reference object by the object to be measured. The difference of height between the object to be measured and the reference object for each pixel are then computed by subtracting the reference object phase and the object phase for the corresponding pixel.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de mesure du relief d'un objet. Le système comprend une projection de grille, un appareil d'acquisition d'images doté d'une caméra et un ordinateur. En prenant un objet de référence possédant des éléments en commun avec l'objet à mesurer, le procédé consiste: a) à placer la grille dans trois positions connues différentes par rapport à la caméra et aux éléments en commun; b) pour chaque position de la grille, à projeter la grille sur l'objet de référence et, avec la caméra, à prendre une image de l'objet de référence afin de produire trois images possédant une valeur pour chaque pixel de la caméra; et c) à calculer la phase de l'objet de référence pour chaque pixel au moyen des trois valeurs d'intensité de l'objet de référence pour le pixel correspondant. On répète les phases a), b) et c) en remplaçant l'objet de référence par l'objet à mesurer. On calcule ensuite la différence de hauteur entre l'objet à mesurer et l'objet de référence pour chaque pixel en soustrayant la phase de l'objet de référence et la phase de l'objet pour le pixel correspondant.
