A method to create, distribute and install on an installation computer a uniquely customised instance of a software application that is authenticable and traceable to a particular user. A secure distribution agent resident on a distribution computer collects indentifying information, and calculates a cryptographic signature of the software application and identifying information. The identifying information and cryptographic signature are embedded in the software application by the secure distribution agent. The software application with embedded data is transmitted via a distribution channel to the installation computer. A user installation agent resident on the installation computer manages the installation of the software application with embedded data on the installation computer. Prior to installation, the user installation agent may use the cryptographic signature to verify that the software application, and the indentifying information, are authentic and have not been tampered with.
L'invention a trait à un procédé permettant de créer, de distribuer et d'installer sur un ordinateur d'installation un exemple d'application logicielle personnalisée de manière unique que l'on peut associer à un utilisateur particulier par le biais d'une authentification et d'une identification. Un agent de distribution sécurisé résident dans un ordinateur de distribution rassemble les données d'identification et calcule une signature cryptographique de l'application logicielle et des informations d'identification. Lesdites informations et la signature cryptographique sont intégrées dans l'application logicielle par l'agent de distribution sécurisé. L'application logicielle et les données intégrées sont transmises par l'intermédiaire d'un canal de distribution à l'ordinateur d'installation. Un agent d'installation utilisateur résident sur l'ordinateur d'installation gère l'installation de l'application logicielle au moyen des données intégrées à l'ordinateur d'installation. Avant l'installation, l'agent d'installation utilisateur peut utiliser la signature cryptographique pour vérifier que l'application logicielle et les informations d'identification sont authentiques et qu'elles n'ont pas été falsifiées.
