A method of configuring and ordering a customized contact lens for a user. The method includes the steps of displaying a template eye image to assist the user in visualizing selected options for a customized contact lens, and displaying a plurality of contact lens selection options to the user. The information includes a plurality of selectable lens colors and lens design patterns. The method also includes the steps of sending an ordering request to order a contact lens incorporating lens colors and lens design patterns selected by the user, receiving the ordering request, and manufacturing a contact lens incorporating the lens colors and lens design patterns selected by the user.
L'invention concerne une méthode permettant de configurer et de commander, pour un utilisateur, des lentilles de contact personnalisées. Cette méthode comprend plusieurs étapes : présenter une image d'oeil modèle afin d'aider l'utilisateur à visualiser les options sélectionnées pour une paire de lentilles de contact personnalisées et montrer à l'utilisateur l'éventail des choix possibles de lentilles de contact. Les informations données à l'utilisateur portent, entre autres, sur toute une gamme de couleurs et de modèles de lentilles disponibles. La méthode selon l'invention comprend également les étapes suivantes : envoyer une demande afin de commander une paire de lentilles dont la couleur et le modèle correspondent au choix de l'utilisateur, recevoir cette demande et fabriquer la paire en question.
